I always go to the AK-47-74 Operators Union site because he truly knows these rifles or the so called pistol versions inside and out. He tells exactly what he thinks and he is not promoting for these companies as many of the more popular sites are. That's all I got to say about that.

They stay in business because of ignorance...

Specifically, what makes these that bad? Got a buddy considering one.

Hey what about buying their parts kit (I.O. US made) and building your own? That would eliminate one of their issues (shortcuts and shoddy work), though you would still be working with cast parts. Their parts kits are $350 all US made including barrel...

Any thoughts?

Still no, there are about 3 pics a week I see that are showing front trunnions cracked. That is no good.

Amazed at the up votes. I.O. is trash. AVOID.

I understand the outward appearance of a standard AK and lifetime warranty may be attractive for those who don't know much about AK's. Do yourself a big favor. Get a WASR. They are available for around $600 and are a perfect standard beginner rifle and come with a chrome-lined CHF barrel. They will last and hold their value if not increase.

I have one, bought as my first AK, I am not an AK fanboy, still have not made up my mind if I like them or not. I have fired about 150-200 rounds through mine and have not seen any problems inside or out to make me think I have a badly built rifle or anything.
I have 8 AR-15s and an AR-10, an M1a, a CA93 by Century (which promags are the only mags you can get and are POS and fall out of gun-do not buy). I might buy a higher rated AK on down the road, but to get your feet wet this is an ok rifle in my opinion, and as someone else posted, come election time there will be enough panic buying can probably sell mine for more than I paid for it if everything flies off the shelves like 2012 firearmageddon, and it might get sold, have not decided, but I will say I am impressed with the AK platform for way it is designed.

Wild, i am no AK fanboy either. But when i was ready to buy my 1st AK in over 20 years, i figured doing some research would be teh smart thing to do. With light useage a I.O wont fall apart that quick, but dont kid yourself, it will fail one way or another. Theres just way too many bad experiences posted all over the net with people and those rifles. Do yourself and possibly your health a favor and get another AK. As its been mentioned, WASR AKs are not that expensive and are solid performers. Another great choice is getting a MAK 90 with a thumb hole stock and then converting it over to a AK by swapping the furniture, adding a flash suppressor and using American made mags.

They can keep lowering the price all they want. This hunk of junk isn't worth its weight in Hot Wheels car pot metal it's built from. Seriously, if you're thinking about buying one, PLEASE Google reviews, watch YouTube failure videos, or better yet, read what the guys who truly know AKs have to say on AKFiles and AKForum.

Shame on you legit retailers who sell this crap.

you can't count jokersaver's up vote. I don't know what he/she is. If it voted up on everything, I'd say it's a bot. However, it votes up 99%, down 1% and comments. It's an admin cyborg that votes deals up. Its votes don't count IMO.

Only Inter Ordnance shills would post anything positive in regards to this weapon. Hell, I would buy a Century before this pos. Save your money and get a DDI or even better, an Arsenal.

It is being done at the State level; ( plus City {Chicago, New York City, Wash DC}, and County Level {Cook Cnty ILL, Westchester Cnty NY, etc.... ); so Yes, the evil Government of Demon~Crats are taking your guns away... often without benefit of voting by the legislature of the level of govt in question (ie by executive fiat)... so, State of New York SAFE Act... Massachusetts, Conn/ ILL/ and also California. ( And add Wash DC/ Hawaii... oh, New Jersey too).

Well, you get the point... you can't have these evil foreign commie assault rifles in those states, with their 30+ magazines... pistol grips/ collapsible butt stocks, front grips, etc...

So, yes, Guns like this are being taken away. With out grandfather clause, with out proper compensation or redress... making many law abiding citizens instant felons...

SO, Obama ( Pelosi, Boxes, Gore, Reid, Bloomberg, Thomas Menino et al ) Bad... 2nd Amend rights good! Very Simple!!!

PS: I Took Uncle Joe Biden's advice and bought me a double barrel shottie! Blam, Blam!!!

Yes and 20+ some states have EXPANDED gun rights in the last 8 years. That is what you get with the whole "momma federal gubmint can't tell me what to do / States Rights policy;" every state doing their own thing but people magically forget to mention the vast majority of states that are moving towards more relaxed gun policies and many (not most though) of them are democrat held just not northern intercity places like Chicago or NY.

20+ > 4 = sky not falling.

i feel sorry for anyone that is so poorly informed as to buy an inter ordinance 7.62 x 39. They should be put out of business for being the worst quality control company under the sun. I'm surprised legitimate gun dealers sell these POS. Buy once, cry once. Spend a little more money and get yourself someone you will love

I bought the M214T from IO about 6 months ago. I feel it was a great deal. The rear sight was slightly canted and I had to file the bolt carrier down a little bit to free up the action, but other than that, I have no complaints and feel it was a great deal. I have 2k rounds mainly steel cased through it and have had no issues. Groups are about 2in at 100yds which is plenty accurate enough for an AK. I would buy it again. Great deal, imo

I bought this rifle five years ago in Missouri for $650

I've had thousands of Herter's and Wolf ammo through it,I have bump fired the heck out of it,

The only problem I've ever had was the rubber piece falling off the end of the stock because of constant vibration from bump fire

I don't pay attention to youtube videos to judge this rifle,I only speak from experience owning it,

I would buy another one,
Great rifle

I disagree with these comments as I have this rifle and love it. I've had zero issues with it. This thing is a lot of fun to shoot. I do know that IO was a crappy company prior to their move to Florida. Don't take my word for it, check out the reviews online and you can see for yourselves how they changed from their previous business model. Bottom line is I really enjoy this rifle and would buy again.

Gentleman, keep away from this rifle. It is made by I.O out of Florida.
There are a ton of safety issues with this rifle and their other product.
Do yourselves a favor and get a WASR AK47 for about the same price and it has no issues.

I purchased one of these rifles from AIM, who was a breeze to work with BTW. I knew IO has a bad reputation but I gave the brand the benefit of the doubt. The lifetime warranty helped persuade me. Upon inspection, it was easy to see why people bash these rifles. Poor rivet work, sticky bolt, metal flashing left in the rear sight groove. I never even fired the weapon before sending it back to IO... BUYER BEWARE!!!
