Don’t sleep on Chinese made stuffs, like vortex, it’s good stuffs and in fact, most of the stuffs we buy are made there. I have seen lots stuffs made in the states are junks, only you can choose to the smart consumer!

199.00 is a screaming deal! Chinese junk cost more than this price.

I'll say it again, this is a $250 scope, model 200464, Cabela's never sold it for $549!!!!!!! Model 200463 is the $549.99 msrp and Cabela's does not sell it. It is a clearance item because the manufacturer has discontinued it.

Would be a nice scope if it came with a sunshade

Just check manufacture part number 200464, that's the one Cabela's is selling

Mine does not.

That's the difference. While this is a great price, it's not a $500 scope for $250. It's more like a $300 scope for $250. The model without the illuminated reticle appears to be a Cabela's exclusive. The $500 scopes seen at Midway and Optics Planet as well as everywhere else is the higher costing illuminated model by the same name. Kinda trickery in advertising.

Yours has the battery illumination?

This scope is the model 200464 which sells everywhere for under $300. The one that is $550 everywhere is the 200463 which Cabela's does not sell. So if you buy it for $250 you're saving about 20-30 bucks. Cabela's has the original price for the other scope, this is the lesser scope. Just because somebody puts a big original price and then deeply discounts it doesn't always mean it's really a good deal. Cabela's is definitely the 200464, check it on Amazon or eBay or just Google the numbers.
The better model is red glass on the manufactures picture. The cheaper one shows blue glass on the manufactures picture

I must of got lucky then. The one I received from Cabelas has the red/purple glass. I ordered it about a month ago. Item# IK714333. If you google the part number midway shows it as the red/purple lens based on the image.

Thanks for pointing this out. I see now that this cheap version is undoubtedly produced for Cabela's exclusively. That's why it's on there and Amazon only. The one for widespread sale is an illuminated reticle model. I almost pulled the trigger on the 1/2 price illusion.

Not a lot of reviews that I’ve found on this scope. I’ve got a 6.5 Grendel needing some glass and going back and forth on this or a Vortex HS 4-16. Really like the price on this one. Should I save a little more for the Vortex ?

It's another $35 off if you order using an active junky account (here: https://www.activejunky.com/invite/245518...). You get 10% back + $10 for 1st time use.

You must go to the Cabela's site via active junky for it to work.

Burris doesn’t get enough credit for the quality products they produce. I just got the 3-10 from the Cabelas deals the other day and it’s fantastic.

Just got this in the mail today. Awesome scope, super clear and the turrets aren't too bad. Like someone else said the bottom line in the reticle is not mil dot, it's the BDC.

Go figure though that the day I get it at my door cabelas offers a 10% off code that coulda saved me $30....

it does seems pretty good price, but don't see a lot of reviews. Missed the Leupaul scope deal for $249.00 with the ring set last time.

excellent product and the lowest price I have seen

Just a note: This doesn't have a true mil-mil reticle. The lower portion of the verticle has bullet drop markings, not mil markings. That's what they mean when they describe the reticle as "Ballistic Milling." If you want a true mil-mil reticle, you need to buy the higher priced version of this scope.
