Ruger 10/22 Exclusive 22 LR Autoloading Rifle with Mannlicher Stock - $399.99 (Free S/H over $49)

Heads up if you purchase this model. The stock - not the gun itself, but the stock - is held to the barrel by a steel end cap (it also has the normal 10/22 takedown screw - the end cap is only for the Mannlicher part that extends all the way to the muzzle). This end cap is held in place by a VERY flimsy stainless steel screw that mates with a steel "escutcheon" embedded in the very end of the stock near the muzzle. If you are careless while taking down the rifle, it is very easy to break this screw, which means you cannot secure the muzzle cap back on the end of the gun. Will it still fire, yes. But you will be shooting an ugly gun and will have defeated the purpose of buying this beautiful European-style stock. So I suggest A) using great care when you unscrew the end cap to take down the rifle; and 2) buying a few spare muzzle end cap screws and escutcheons from Brownells to have on hand in case one breaks. All that said, it is a very nice 10/22. Probably my favorite of all the different models.
