This 6.5 Grendel "Type 2" chambered 12.5" inch barrel is machined from 416R Stainless Steel with a bead blasted finish. Our Premium Series Barrels feature a Nickel Boron Coated Extended M4 Feed Ramp Extension.
Hanson Series Barrels feature our proprietary BA Hanson profile and includes a pinned lo-pro gas block. Hanson barrels are not designed to work with aftermarket piston kits.

The ballistic performances from 300B and 6.5G are vastly different, and "ideal ballistic length" does not preclude effective use with other barrel lengths regardless of caliber. 12" G's are routinely used with/without suppressors for various reasons which Blackout cannot duplicate. My personal 6.5G 12" makes 2310 with 123ELD's, and carries over 1k energy past 300 yds. My 7-10" Blackouts can't hope that, but offer other advantages for different situations. This barrel length in this caliber has been popular for many years in the hunting community (and this is a good deal). Happy shooting. Goofball out.
I don't get this? 6.5 Grendel is a long range cartridge designed to achieve its ballistic goal [1000yd accuracy] out of a 24" barrel.
There's literally no reason I can think of for trying to use such a short barrel with this round; if you're looking for something subsonic to use with a can, you should be using 300 AAC [aka "30 Whisper," but don't tell anyone, 'cause that name is copyrighted!]
This is not a "deal" because it doesn't matter if the barrel was free, you'd still be a goofball for choosing it...
