For maximum customization, the Veritas offers the base of a lightweight system with a large number of tactical add-ons: A skeletonized cummerbund for low-profile side plate accommodation, multi-caliber Kangaroo triple mag pouch, padded side-plate pouches, and an Adaptive Plate Insert. Each of these items gives its own benefits, and it’s up to you to decide which features matter most. And if you change your mind or need to adapt to a different situation, your carrier will change as you see fit. The Invictus carrier takes the concept of a lightweight full-size carrier to the next level, with a weight of just 1.3 pounds. For as low a profile as possible without sacrificing functionality, the shoulder straps are made of Hypalon, the same slip-proof material used for the pull tabs. Additionally, the cummerbund, while it is able to accommodate our side plate pockets, comes in its skeleton form to allow for the tight fit that a cummerbund gives without necessitating a higher weight. Finally, our A1 steel plates are rated to defeat 5.56x45 M855A1 (AP) round at velocities of up to 3,100 FPS, 7.62x51 M61 (AP) round at velocities up to 2800 FPS, and all lesser threats with multi-hit capability. Also, thanks to the custom steel alloy blend, it is able to protect against several hits without shattering or breaking like ceramic or polyethylene would. It also provides the same protection on the edges as it does in the center, giving you true edge-to-edge coverage. Included in this package are Trauma Pads which are to be worn behind a plate to protect you from the blunt impact of the bullet.
