Description
The SIG SAUER® SP2022® is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG’s black Nitron® finish. Available in 9mm, .357 SIG and .40 S&W, the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm. Here’s my theory it’s a great price for a great gun and two free mags and a bag. If down the road it drops another fifty or a hundred dollars I’ll buy another or put it on layaway if offered. I’ve kicked myself in the ass many times for not pulling the trigger on certain handguns and never finding them for that price again.
Right there with you. Just look at the current S&W Shield prices vs back in spring w/ rebate. My SP2022 shipped today.
This is so hard to pass up right now. You guys think prices might possibly go lower or at least stay for awhile on these the way things are going right now?
Good deal...only downside for me is the tax since I'm in Ohio, but I couldn't pass it up. The rebate that ends on 10/15 made me pull the trigger on one.
Just a heads up, check to see if this has a safety. Not sure of that's important to anyone. I wish I knew mine didn't before purchasing it!
I'm amazed at the current status of the firearm industry being in a continual buyer's market all year long thus far. It's great, but at the same time I get bummed because I bought my SigPro also called the model 2340 the first year they came out, which was when the .357Sig was announced, and it cost me $875 for the gun, three magazines, and a case. After that I ordered night sights at $100 and got letterhead from the operations division captain for three "high capacity magazines" that held 12 rather than 10 rounds for $10 each rather than $85 and wound up getting a total of nine magazines, three holsters, and paid out a total of about $1100 because my department bought two of the three holsters.
And now it's only $399 for the best police duty weapon I carried except for my Hk USP40. If you're on the fence about buying this one my opinion as a career cop and past firearms instructor is this is one of the best semiautomatic handguns I've ever owned and at this price it's worth buying two.
Bought this in FEW from RK Guns last deal. Shot about 1,500 rounds. Shot everything from deal Wal-Mart Russian ammo to Wal-Mart's finest brass shells. This gun is accurate and a ton of fun to shoot !!!
I love this weapon. Although it is the least expensive handgun I own, it is the most accurate and reliable. Never an issue with early 4K rounds through it.

I hate to be "that guy", but Rural King sells the 2022 in FDE for $419. Even with tax, that will still be cheaper than this deal once you pay the transfer fee. Sorry to the vendor bc this is a great price, but wanted to share the best value.
That's great if you happen to live in or near one of the 12 states with those stores. For the rest of us this looks like a nice online deal, although would be better with Sig night sights.
Hard to find a better pistol for the money, but I would recommend finding one with night sights. This is a pistol that you'll likely end up using as a CCW or nite stand gun and I bought mine for just a few dollars more with nite sights from PSA.
Yeah it's my car gun because it's just inexpensive enough that if it gets stolen or confiscated by the police for some reason or another I'm not out that much.
Best carry pistol and most underrated sig branded pistol.

mags make this a good deal. Sig has expensive mags, often $40 each
