The CZ 75 SP-01 is the first full size handgun (4.6” bbl) from CZ to feature the improved manufacturing technology and ergonomics of the NATO-approved CZ 75 Compact P-01 model. Featuring an integral 1913 accessory rail on the dust cover, rubber grip panels, and CZ’s corrosion resistant black polycoat finish, the SP-01 is the newest model to join the family of pistols based on the CZ 75 (SA/DA) platform. Borrowing from the improved grip geometry of the compact P-01, the SP-01 utilizes an extended beavertail to protect shooter’s strong hand as well as allowing for a deeper and more secure grip. The new grip geometry, checkering in key areas on the front and back straps, and redistribution of mass provided by the accessory rail noticeably decrease the perceived recoil from previous models and allows for more rapid target acquisition and transition.
The SP-01 was designed as a military and law enforcement duty sidearm. The new model is currently in use by security forces fighting the war on terrorism. Thanks to its exceptional accuracy and superior handling characteristics, the CZ 75 SP-01 has also found supporters in the field of sport and target shooting. Its list of users on the competition circuit include World Champions Adam Tyc and Angus Hobdell (1st and 3rd place respectively in 2005‘s IPSC championship, World Shoot XIV).

I'd really love to have this in 40s&w...best ergos I've ever felt on a gun. The weight is perfect for absorbing the snap of the more powerful round.
CZ makes some absolutely excellent pistols, and the price offered here is the best one can find. I'm happy with my SP01, but I'm now not so happy I paid about $100 more for it than this price.

These are just great pistols! Just a sweet shooter, steel frame helps tame recoil and for me its very accurate. I used to think Glocks were the greatest - until I got the SP01. Now I am a CZ "fanboy". This is a quality firearm that you will not regret buying - especially at $550. I payed $100 more for mine, but still glad I bought it.
I was looking at this one couple weeks ago. Cheapest one I found was $640 so I went for 75B ($512 w/ shipping, which is still a good price) but I wish this deal was out back then

But Hi-Point is not a Sig/HK/S&W clone. The L/S/T -120 or SAR are clones (or close?) plus they are not ugly like the Hi-Piont (I own the 45 hi-point by the way lol)

Cz clones will do the job for half the price
By that logic Hi-Points do the same job. Sometimes you need a Colt/HK/Sig/CZ because why accept a substitute.

I did, and now have been bitten by the suppressor bug! you can get class III stuff for EXACTLY the same requirements as NYS pistol permit except for who you make the $200 check out to, in any state where you actually still have rights, 3copies of finger prints, 3 passport photo, 3 references, interview with L.E. and after local L.E signs off on it., 3-6 month wait. sound familiar?
I think czcustom will do a low cap. version, but they only have the shadow and the tactical (decocker) version in stock right now.
Been wanting one for a long time! Tried to get one from cz custom, but they were out. Almost sprang for the shadow, but was a little too pricey for a non competitive shooter. As luck would have it, it popped up here. Have ordered from Kentucky gun company before and they did me right. No problems. Looking forward to my SP01!

I was lucky enough to bought one from kygunco. No hassle, quick shipping. Very pleasant experience of doing business with them, especially considering I live in CA (feel that we Californians are 2nd class citizens of USA). Hope to get another deal from them soon in the future.
For you San Diego-ns who have to pay 700+ befor DROS and taxes. You can ship this gun to your FFL and have them DROS it as an on roster SP01. They will just keep the magazines. I find it much cheaper to pay the transfer fees and new mags than it is to pay the asking price at the local gun stores. Honey Badger Firearms will pin the mags for 10 bucks so you could buy the CZ for 550 + DROS + TAX + 50$ transfer + 10$ mag pinning
