I'm not willing to say this is a "deal." This is the price these polymers should be sold at.
Thumbs down just cause of CTD? Does anyone actually have any input on the lower?? Heard anything about them?
I have two dozen of these, only because I'm a Gunbroker whore and paid less than $10/each all said and done.
PROS: They are stronger than the plum crazies. They flex a little so installing a lpk is VERY easy. Very light weight. The lifetime warranty is legit. Holds up fine to 22lr, 9mm, 204 ruger, 223 & 5.56, 300 blackout, 450 bushmaster, 458 socom. I don't know about the 50. Work great as a sbr.
CONS: You have to ream the holes before you install a lpk. There is a lot of slag and burs the factory didn't remove. You CANNOT make a 223 pistol out of this. It will break. It's just not strong enough even with an adjustable gas block. This listing is for CTD
Looks like the newest iteration of the Plum Crazy/New Frontier mold. While I have a few NFA lowers that work fine with 5.56, frankly there are better light weight options out there right now; Tac Arms has their brass-reinforced hybrid lower, MAG Tactical has their magnesium lower, MEAN Arms also has a hybrid in the works.
That said, I will still NEVER purchase from CTD. Gouging bastards.
why are people bitching about cheaper than dirt (CTD) when these are sold at Impact guns? doesnt make sense
