I really like the P365 and have had one for years. Recently I wanted to add a red dot sight (RDS). Of the options available, including buying a new slide and buying an X, or XL version with or without the RDS installed (they both come with an optics cut), I opted to order the X version without the RDS alrwady installed and add my own. The value wasn't there to pay half of a new gun to replace the slide (I gave the original P365 to a family member not interested in a RDS). I didn't want the extra length of the XL, which left the X. Since I usually carried with a 12 round mag, the extended grip length didn't increase the overall size for me. The reason I didn't get the offering with the Romeo Zero factory installed is I wanted something more rugged than an all-plastic sight that is the Romeo Zero. I installed one of sane size Holosun "k" versions. It was easy since the footprint and screw pattern is identical to the Romeo. No adapter plates and cowitnessnesses. The setup shoots great. My favorite carry gun in almost all circumstances.
