  • I've had one for about a year now; to be fair it's but this exact build (only the stock is different) but, that's moot as my point is,: Great rifle; one of my faves and -at least mine- is , very accurate out to 300yds. That said, it is incredibly front heavy. The billet handguard is no joke. Totally fine for bench, or the range. If you're looking for a "battle rifle," however - imo, it's just too heavy for that. Without actually weighing any guesstimate I say around wait or going to be exactly that. Owning several AKs, ARs etc. however...it's easily my heaviest standard cal rifle. Basically, unless you plan on lugging it around every day on a slang it is a great rifle. If you do want to carry it everyday, however, and unless your biceps are the size of watermelons, it will wear on you.

For a first AK consider Arsenal SAM or SLR (Bulgarian blueprint) its stock, not as upgraded, but holds it value. Never flinches in price. AK prices are climbing like everything else nowadays so get 1 of each! Also Kalishnikov opened a factory in my city Pompano Beach, FL but manf. and sell for police and military only. No public store. Great to see Palmetto at the top though. Remember, Century and the rest may give you a Frankenstein made of many diff parts from imported stock. I may go Galil next...Ace 2 needs to come out in 7.62x51

These arent your custom aks that will run 10k to 20k rounds but no one shoots that much and if you do you’re not shooting a psa. So do you bro bro.

Yes it would be a good first ak. It’s already customized and to do all that yourself… if you’ve never worked on ak and don’t have tools I’d get it. And you can’t beat psa customer service and gaurantee. It breaks send it back

Get yourself the zastava m70 zpap AK. Much better than PSA and for less money. Search on gun.deals or Google search zastava m70 gun.deals and you'll find them for around 850-900. Has the 1.5 truck MM receiver. And you can customize it however you want. (I know because I did it)

I have both and I prefer the PSA’s high quality finish (just my opinion as the m70 is freaking sweet too)
