  • Excellent trigger for $100. I paid $130 back in Jan. If you can lash out some extra $$$, consider the POF flat face single stage 3.5lbs with KNS anti-walk pins. I have found these for $130-$160 however MSRP is $200.

This price (143.99) would be good if it were free shipping. But it is not.

I have a buddy who's a friend of a friend who stopped by last weekend to buy my retired Eotech, and to compare the CMC to one of my Wilson single stage TTU's.

He went to a local gun shop and was beaming about his new CMC drop in trigger for his Colt.
He told me he paid $250 as they claimed they did some custom work on the trigger, picked up his Colt and the trigger pin fell completely out. Last time I owned a CMC if memory serves it had a C clamp that locked in the drop in trigger. Maybe the gun shop forgot that Colt uses a slightly larger trigger pin.

Whatever the case, $250 for this and a Colt that loses its trigger pins when turned onto it's side isn't a good deal. He was going shooting that day, so I put in a single anti rotate pin(not a KNS double pin), locked it down with two allen wrenches, now I know he can shoot it without the stupid pin falling out on it's own.

I have a Colt as well and many extra oversized .170 trigger pins. But I opted to use the lockdown pin so that the gun shop doesn't accuse him of changing or losing anything.

Told him he's good to go, and that is gunsmith he was using is a jerk for charging him $99 to put in a drop in CMC trigger, and doing a shit job at that.

I think the gunsmith pulled out the Colt .170 pins and put in normal .154 sized trigger pins and called it a day. The guy that came over is no gun noobie, but he was new to the AR world. Told him next time bring his gun over and I'll help him or show him how to do it himself. Didn't have the heart to tell him for $250, he could have bought a Wilson TTU or even a Larue drop in trigger.

Can anyone give me a short review of this please? Including the curved trigger. I've never used a straight trigger. Any better?

As a replacement to the stock AR15 Milspec trigger the curved 4.5# CMC is a great alternative. It is crisp, with no creep, and very nice to use. Having used all of the above (plus a few others that friends own), I prefer the CMC for my walking carbines. I purchased the 'straight' to try it out and I can take it or leave it. With a bit of practice I 'think' the finger position might be a bit more advantageous (as after you get use to it you are definitely pulling more with the end of your finger than curling your whole finger), but right now I shoot as well with either. The POF is fine as well, the CMC just feels a hair more crisp (to me). Though the current sale on the POF drop in makes that a better deal (from gotammo).

For heavier or distance ARs I prefer a nice 2stage. The Geissele SSA-E being my go to for longer distance. The G2S or RRA for ACOG carbines.

That is my experience. Others may feel very differently.
