The rebate is only for 200 rds (10 boxes) max, so I'm not sure if that mattes for this deal in particular.

Windham makes good stuff. The C7 upper with shell deflector and A2 stock are not period correct. I suppose this would be a Vietnam era clone with modern parts. Still looks and probably functions great.
You might have lucked out, even for cheap NV this had HORRIBLE reviews.
PSA offers the "non-CHF" version pistol kit for $259 and the only difference I can observe based on the descriptions is the barrel. That means the barrel itself has a $240 premium. For what it's worth, as of Aug 2019, Colt 11.5 HRT with low-profile gas block sells for $250.

Doesn't look like anyone out there is also shopping for something like this. An update for anyone looking at this later, though. I received my RGS about a week back. Shipping from this vendor was super fast. Everything arrived in good shape. Did a thorough cleaning, set up my scope with the included rings and removed the pic rail. Spent a range session getting a feel for the bolt and zeroing my optics. She's a fine little rifle, this one. Picked up two additional polymer mags and they are WAY lighter and smaller than the metal mag - though they aren't as robust.
I also heard back from Boyd's on the AR mag question - none of their stocks are configured to work with the AR type mags. Looks like I made a good call.
