The CMC Triggers Kragos is an aftermarket slide designed for Glock 17 Gen 3 handguns. Machined in a state-of-the-art facility, the Kragos slide features extremely precise tolerances for consistent barrel lockup and better accuracy down range. The CMC Kragos pistol slide is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, heat treated to H900 42-44RC, and then finally is coated with a Diamond-Like Carbon coating (DLC) for exceptional wear and corrosion resistance.

Steyr Arms M9-A2 9mm 4" Polymer Frame Two 17rd Mags BLK - $325

After being on the fence for awhile I finally got one. Must say for the price of $325 and free shipping, this is an exceptional value and quality gun. Fit and Finish are excellent. Component tolerances are very tight. One suggestion I have is to try one first if you can and see if it fits you.
While I have not fired it, I did find some interesting aspects of it comparing to other guns. I compared it to my Glock45 9mm(MOS and Standard), Beretta 92X and PX4. All these are within the same general category - 17 round 9mm w/ approx. 4" barrels, with the G45 being the closest comparison and the Steyr thought to replace.
One thing I found with these four is how similar they are to each other by the numbers, all built around almost the exact same magazine dimensions. After all, there's only so many ways to double stack 9mm and have it in the grip. So it came down to how each manufacturer approached the wrapping around this basic tenet. Of the four, the G45 is the lightest, then the Steyr, PX4 and 92X. Surprisingly, while the G45 is slimmer at the slide and appears the thinnest, all these have approximately the same overall width, especially at the grip and frame of around 30mm. The other grip dimensions of all four are also very close. So it came down to how each is contoured and textured at various points. Thus affecting how it may(or may not) fit YOUR hand. If you thought Glocks feel like a 2x4 in your hand, the contours at the front of the Steyr grip makes it feel like holding a 4x4. Again, they actually have the exact same overall grip dimensions.
The next surprising aspect I found is the supposed vaunted low bore axis of the Steyr. All the reviews I saw mention how low it is and it certainly has that appearance. However, I measured the Steyr to have the exact same centerline bore height above the top of the curve of the beavertail(where the top of your hand would be) as the G45! 20mm. The "low bore axis" of the Steyr is only a visual slight of hand. Resulting from the lower slide height compared to the G45 as well as the relative proportion of the slide height to it's frame. The 92X and PX4 have bore heights of 30mm. So the Steyr barrel is moving at the exact same height as the G45 above your hand. The lower felt recoil and muzzle flip reported by many may possibly be due to other factors instead of bore height. Edit.. The bore axis referred to here was only measuring centerline of barrel. However, the lower profile of the overall slide may lower the Center of Gravity of the entire slide mass. Thus still contribute to a lower reciprocating mass.
In the end, while originally intended to possibly replace the G45, the Steyr may not. It is heavier, bulkier, may not shoot much better and has a lot less aftermarket support. BTW I am not a strict Glock fanboy as I have many other makes.
And in terms of the pistol that "fit" me? it ends up being my................revolver. The grip is not constrained by having to fit a magazine.
