Description This is the first batch of Merkel MHR-16 rifles.  It is a pre MHR-16 or R-15. The guns are identical in every way except the name engraved on the side.  In order to avoid a lawsuit with another manufacture, the name was changed from R-15 to MHR-16 (Merkel hunting Rifle 2016). We have the only ones that will be stamped R-15.  Save hundreds of dollars! This rifle (the R-15) is the same as the Merkel MHR-16. The only difference is “R-15” stamped on the side.

Factory New Merkel 147 EL 20 Gauge 30" Sporting Model This gun has one of the nicest stocks that I have seen come out of the Merkel factory. The gun is a Sporting model with 30" barrels choked skeet and improved cylinder. Features a single selective trigger, solid rib with brass bead front and stainless center bead.
