Consider a moment that the Rival is $500. This adds a threaded barrel. Canik barrels are cheap. Fluting adds nothing.
Then a comp is put on it. Those after market Canik comps aren't that much.
The Rival already has a flat face trigger at $500. What exactly is "diamond cut" in terms of any other gun for a trigger? none. No spring changes on trigger.
The texture is different, but the Walther PDP is more aggressive...but both can sport grip tapes.

So...exactly what do you get? A barrel and a comp over the $500 rival.

Don't give in and pay $1400 for a gun with a $949 MSRP. If you wait they will come down. Remember you will never get that back out of it, if it turns out to be a lemon.
