Do yourself if you are serious about this caliber in a AR platform and buy a Noreen BN36 like I did. They have a few in stock right now and they are half the cost and made in house and have great customer service. The person who told me about this company swears they are the most accurate 1000 yrd semi auto made.

Hmmm… an AR-10/LR-308 rifle from Aero or PSA for $900-$1500, Or this this for $5500? I don’t have much confidence in the feeding capabilities of the 30-06 in a semi auto out of a 30 round double stack mag either.

They used 20 and 40 round mags in WW1. Worked well enough then. Don't see why you think a 100 year old design that never had issues before would suddenly start having them now.

This is not a priority gun, anybody who’s going to buy this has already got what you got 10 times over, this is a fun gun not a combat weapon.

The irony of you stating that a BAR with all the ergonomic shortcomings fixed & brought up to modern standards, lacking only the full-auto capability due to the (patently unlawful) Hughes Amendment to FOPA '86 being "not a combat weapon" is not lost on me...

It jams on anything but FMJ and the co.makes it clear, I don’t know about you, but I think I would like my combat weapon to be reliable with anything.

Of course realizing Geneva accords specifically state all military small arms ammo to be in fact.....full metal jacket.
It's what the weapon was designed for.
It's what the feed ramps dictate.
Recoil would destroy any soft tipped ammo in the magazine.
Or...were you planning on chasing Bambi down with a 40 pound rifle ?

Who said anything about the feed ramp being the problem, The problem was it for some reason kick the bolt catch into up position therefore locking the bolt back.

Because someone tries to use ammo the weapon is not designed to fire ?
The horror.

Still I think a combat weapon should feed anything I give it and I think most of the people on here would agree, even if they don’t that’s what I’d want.

I imagine they would to spend $5500 on a “fun gun.”
