These used to go on sale all the time (a year ago) for $7.99. One dollar higher isn't a deal. Is this a china trade surcharge?
Travel back to 1994 and ask the gun guys of that era if they'd like to buy AR mags for $8 each.
From what I heard these are sturdy and reliable, the ones to stock up on. Why are MagPuls so much more? Wouldn't plastic mags be cheaper to make?
