These are great rifles. I shoot mine all the time but for $900, I'd spend $100 more and get a Russian VEPR from Arsenal/FIME for $999.

Dr.K, these rifles (All American Line) were just released less than 2 weeks ago. They seem to be quality but the verdict is still out on them for now.
I do agree with you that for $100 more one should get the VIPR

I have the DDI that came out about 5 mos ago, that is what I'm referring to. I understand these have a few differences, like the forged US parts and the sight/gas block combo, but comparing a USA made AK to a Russian, isn't a comparison....other than maybe Rifle Dynamics. Also have the new FIME VEPR and many others. Both great guns, though.
