I bought this gun from classic month ago. Got to shoot it yesterday. First 5.45 ever shot and first ddi both were good. Gun was very smooth. Zero kick came sighted in dead nuts at 100yd

If you're thinking about buying... pull the trigger on the purchase (pun intended)! This is my 6th AK & my first 74. This is my new favorite rifle. 4 trips to the range so far >1000 rounds, all fun! DDI customer service is top notch too. I thought my action was a little sticky DDI pays for front door pickup and had it back to me in less than 2 weeks smooth as butter. They updated me with every step.

As far as milled vs stamped it's a toss up, I own both and i prefer stamped - a lot lighter. To each their own though. AK's last milled or stamped!

Can anyone school me on the preferable version? DDI is in my hometown, so I would like to have one of their rifles. Is the stamped or milled version more desireable as a shooter? Hope this doesnt start a flame war.

as a pure shooter, milled

Atlas, some people like the milled rifles, others prefer the stamped as its slightly lighter. You cant go wrong with either version.
With them being in youre hometown, thats a huge plus.
I myself have been eyeballing this rifle but the one with Houge furniture.

Just got the email now. Looks interesting - Now I need to go back and watch the youtube videos/reviews to learn more about it.

*Edit. That's right, "DDI Factory tour" by the military arms channel. That was a great video.
