If it was $224 that was an amazing deal,I just bought this scope about a month ago for around $350 or $360 about a month ago.I put it on one of my carbine builds paired up with one of PA’s micro pistol red dots sitting at 45 degrees.this scope is an amazing value.I love the wire reticle,that was a genius idea from PA..my first LPVO was the Burris RT-6 and while it is a great LPVO for the $300-$400 dollar price range(I personally like it better than the Strike Eagle and the previous Gen PA SLx series LPVOs.this new wire reticle model is better than the Burris simply because of the daylight bright reticle in this new PA SLx..now if PA would add the wire reticle to their FFP LPVOs I would really be happy.having the daylight bright reticle is very important to me.I want a FFP LPVO but I can afford to Spend Vortex Razer money just for the daylight bright illuminated reticles and as much as I want FFP,if it’s not daylight bright I’m gonna have to pass

Wire reticles are the cheapest & lowest quality of the lot and can break under recoil, especially on a "springer" air rifle. Etched reticles are a part of the lens and won't break or even distort in shape. This one being fiber-optic means that it is fine and brittle ... hopefully PA laminated it to the reticle lens really well, but I still wouldn't trust it on a "springer" or other certain types of firearms. No respectable scope manufacturer builds an FPP without an etched reticle, that would be a wasted opportunity to produce a much higher quality and more valuable product. You should probably do some research into how Riflescopes are constructed & engineered to really understand what you are discussing here. FFP is useless on a fixed magnification optic and has no place on an LPVO either, it does not provide a significant enough benefit to justify the higher cost of production until you start talking about 12-14x & up with 10x or better zoom range (12-24x44, 8-32x56, 18-32x44, etc.). You are MUCH better advised to buy an LPVO based upon the quality of the glass, having an etched reticle, ADJUSTABLE objective at the objective lens or a turret side-mounted parallax adjustment, an ocular focus, and length of warranty (I prefer LIFETIME, thank you!). Also note that Rings, Hats, Lasers and other "freebies" AREN'T FREE! You are paying for them as well in a "package", which means the $300 scope you are buying is really a $200 scope or even less in value. The "bonus" items simply allow the item to retail at an inflated perceived value and higher profit margin. If PA can really drop $125 off a scope and STILL make a PROFIT? means that a lot of folks overpaid by 30%, I wouldn't be very pleased if it were me. Are you SURE it's the same scope in the ad? Don't be fooled by Chinese copycats.

Not sure what triggered the rant. You've been here nearly a year and this is your first comment, all negative. Blicky never mentioned a "springer air rifle, freebies, package, bonus items, or fixed magnification." You clearly have no experience with this scope or construction. "FFP useless on a LPVO?" I suggest you are the one in need of research.

Scope is available for preorder at $224.00 again. I posted a picture, and a screen recording on Twitter as evidence that Primary Arms has been discounting them below 339.00

If that’s real than that’s impressive wow! Great find!

What site did you buy it on?

I see;
pre order only for $339
LE/Mil $305
Wholesale $271

Are you sure this was a reputable seller? These aren’t shipping til March.

Yeah I clicked the link you posted a few days ago, and that’s the price that was offered. I went back the next day to see if the price changed which it did not, but this time it was offering a free scope mount. As soon as I refreshed the page the free scope mount option was gone. It may have been an error on their part so I’ll cross my fingers if it ships

I didn’t post any link.

“Daryl.abbott” did

I was merely the first commentor/reviewer on “this” link or posting when it showed up, So not sure what you are talking about. But if you got it for $224, good on you.

Primary Arms has these for 224 at the moment

I checked this deal when it was posted. It wasn't 224. It was $339.99 pre-order. And it still is. 224 isn't even relatable to their SAVE12 discounts or MIL/LE discounts.

Precisely.

You must be looking at a different item.

$224 is lower than MAP or even wholesale pricing so that is not correct.

Bought this on pre order last week based on;

1.) Dimitri’s feedback plus videos
2.) PA’s promo video
3.) Being a PA customer since 2015
4.) Desire for mil-based reticle for ranging
5.) Promised daylight bright reticle

Scopes owned or used extensively (And will update once I recieve this one);
-PA, Gen II & II slx 1-6 & 1-8 (Acss & KISS)
-Steiner P4xi 1-4 & 1-5 T5xi
-Swampfox 1-6
-Trijicon TR24
-Strike Eagle gen I & II (1-6, & 1-6 & 1-8)
-Sig MSR Tango 1-6 & 1-10

On my list to try has been the Delta Striker but at 1/3 the cost and similar (not the same) specs figured I might as well try this out first.
